Folks!
Thanksgiving
is a time to say “I am thankful for ALL of my life experiences; joyful
and sad, good and bad, successes and failures, promotions and demotions,
hellos and goodbyes, friends and even enemies.” It is the totality of
all that we live and experience that we are shaped, identified, and
formed.
I
remember trying to make a cake to surprise Sandi with after I’d known
she had a challenging day. Unfortunately the “mix” called for two eggs
and we had none. I thought, (and I shouldn’t have), “What the heck –
eggs – milk – both dairy – I’ll just add about as much extra milk as two
eggs would occupy.” After baking the cake at 325° for one hour – it was
not done; 2 hours – the top was dark brown but the inside was still
“gooey”. Soon she was home and the cake was frosted, cut, and served –
it quickly crumbled and I realized eggs and milk are not
interchangeable. You must have all the ingredients to make a delicious,
fluffy cake.
We
are incomplete as long as we haven’t forgiven all of those who have
hurt, injured, and insulted us! How many times have we offended our
Lord? Yet God forgives us when we sincerely ask forgiveness.
This
Thanksgiving
let us give thanks for all the people we have encountered in this life.
Let’s ask God to cleanse our souls of ANY resentments, hatred, vengeance
or envy toward others – then we shall be Holy and whole again.
Blessed
Thanksgiving
to
All
~
