Pray for those in need - Prayer Diary

Goals and Mission

God calls us to feed the hungry and minister to those struggling with issues of mind, body, and spirit.  Though the grace from everyone, we work our grace, which in turn shows others God’s grace.

Funding Status

Our financial need is funded through donations from congregation and community.

Projects

  • Holiday Baskets: Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas baskets for the needy in our community.
  • One Great Hour of Sharing: A non-profit, ecumenical ministry that provides for the needy all over the world. Representing the disaster relief, refugee response, and long-term development work of ten Protestant denominations, overseas and in the United Sates.
  • Crop Walk: The community service and fundraising appeal for Church World Service an organization of 36 denominations united together to relieve poverty, aid in development, and provide disaster and refugee assistance worldwide.
  • Neighbors In Need: Through this mission offering, the church expresses a common commitment to justice and compassion throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
  • Christmas Fund: For retired clergy members, from baptism to Sunday school to Confirmation, from youth group to adulthood, they have shared with us the gift of faith, wisdom, compassion, humor, and love – often in small churches that could not pay adequate salaries or contribute toward their pensions.
  • Strengthen the Church: To strengthen and renew congregations: funding leadership for new congregations and providing new programs for youth and young adults as well as leadership development.
  • Home Touch: Packets of inspirational messages mailed to homebound members.
  • Sandwich Ministry: Assembly and delivery of 150 bag lunches on a monthly basis, to The Guest House, a homeless shelter in Milwaukee for men who are seeking employment.
  • The Giving Tree: Gift tags on a Christmas tree for congregation members to pick so they can purchase gifts for residents at the Samaritan Home in West Bend.
  • Good Samaritan Program: Home visiting, meal delivery – for shut-ins or families in crisis in the congregation and community.
