Consistory
New Hope UCC Consistory
Usher Schedule
Mission
The mission of the Consistory is to assist Reverend Jim to ensure
that New Hope UCC runs smoothly. The team manages the business aspect of
the church – ensuring the bills are paid and the expenses are monitored.
The Consistory drafts the budget with input from other church teams. We
also facilitate the annual meeting and plan the church picnic. Other
teams look to the Consistory for guidance in setting goals and
prioritizing capital projects.
Capital Projects During 2005 & 2006
During the course of the two year span of 2005 and 2006, we started
construction on the Christian Education Wing, and as the final touches
were completed late in the summer of 2006, we were able to house our
Sunday school classes during the fall of that year. Furniture was
purchased for the new addition, as well as for the main church office.
No other major projects occurred during these two years.
Spiritual Growth
It was another banner year for growth of our church. At this time,
there is no end in sight to the rapid growth we have been experiencing.
Managing this growth will be one of our biggest challenges in 2008 and
beyond. With our Web Site Team and an administrative consultant we
have taken the first steps to better communication. We look to improve
on this in the upcoming year.
Our Sunday school and music teams continue to grow, both in size and
spirit.
