Join Us : How to Become a Member of New Hope?

Begin by worshipping with us and see if the spirit “calls” you to membership. If you feel “called” contact the Pastor and express a desire to join our “Family of Faith.”

It is the mission of New Hope United Church of Christ to extend to all people the love, peace, forgiveness, and the joy of a relationship through Christ and our faith community.

What we expect from you as a member:

1. Every effort will be made to live a Christian lifestyle by trying to:
   • Live as Jesus would have us live
   • Practice gentleness with others
   • Offering forgiveness
   • Practicing patience
   • Being a peacemaker
2. We will listen carefully to the “call of God” to serve this family of faith as time and resources permit. We will offer our talents when called upon.
3. We will make serious efforts to be a part of and participate in the Christian Education Mission of this church (Sunday School, Confirmation, Bible/Book Studies).
4. After prayerful consideration, we will support the Mission and Outreach Ministries of this church.
5. Out of gratitude for the daily blessings we receive from God, we strongly support and believe in the life and mission of this church. We are therefore generous in our offerings and financial support.
6. We will invite others into the joy we have found in worship and in the living out of our faith as members. We believe the future of our church rests in the commitment to our children. We will seek to know their names, offer friendship to them, and encourage their hopes and dreams on their Christian journey.
7. We will seek to build harmony and unity in the life of our faith family. We will practice peace making, forgiveness, and reconciliation on all levels of activities.
